It kills me that these large scale brawls breakout over soccer lol I mean fuck, its just a game. Its not like we kick the russian-canadian asses when they beat us at hockey. We have a friendly rivalry but thats about it, no one gets their ass kicked
Unless its a montreal-toronto game and a loud mouth fan happens to be talking shit in the wrong stadium, then you may see a fight. but nothing like you guys do in europe lol i wanna go to england just for that reason alone. get drunk and into a soccer brawl

WRONG!
We take this way back.
Example:
England vs Germany = allies vs axis all over again. And so you have in most of the countries the same things with clubs.
If you never have been in any massive football fight you should not speak. It's just fun to have some large battle every now and than. And most of the people are drunk so it's also funny to see them trying to fight. You guys in north america will NEVER understand our sport. |

naw man, not when they drop their gloves and take their helmets off and go toe to toe. Its not like they fight with all their gear on, in hockey anyway.
And as for football (NA football), gettin tackled by a 300lbs linesman every other play is way more intense than running around on a field for 90 minutes |

Sy we do that without pads its called Rugby .. now bear that in mind when you ponder why football is the sport that provokes so much fan violence. What is it about guys kicking a ball around that stirs up such passion ? You have seen how a goal & a little puck can cause folks to get utterly out of control, add a century of history onto that & remove all the kit. What makes footy such an amazing sport is you can play it anywhere with little or no props. Its like kicking a ball is as natural to humans as throwing a rock or spear. What did early humans kick & wonder ? Don't suppose it would be the head of an enemy chief ? Who knows .. it a mysterious connection the one between people & kicking around a ball.
