taking away the hard drive, power sup, case etc,

CPU, RAM + GPU. £200/$400.. Is it possible? I have been thinking about what to do towards the end of the year when the only game I am interested in comes out (starcraft 2), First of all, no, I am not regretting getting my Macbook Wink I just have given a little more thought into the future of gaming and how it probably is NOT a good idea to be playing games on a laptop anyway, and am debating this a little.

The Macbook is perfect for me for now and at least the next 6 months, and possibly until a better model comes out. However, I want a small PC 100% dedicated to playing Starcraft 2 alone. The game will be available for Mac, but I don't fancy the idea of gaming on a laptop in general. Judging by the screens, it shouldn't need anything more than a 2006-2007 graphics card to run on full settings.. I guess what I am looking for is a £200 bundle with GPU, CPU and RAM.

Understand that it doesn't need to be a Crysis ultra high DX10 massacring beast Rolling Eyes it needs to run SC2 and nothing else. (perhaps some classic oldies such as grim fandango, etc Razz)

Yeah, StarCraft 2 Wink Thanks for that though. You are right.. Ive just been on to ebuyer.com (my usual site for buying pc parts) and havent been on there for at least 6-7 months.. and well I was shocked.

You can get 8800's for less than £150 now.. I payed like 320+ when I got mine last april.. Also, RAM is like water now I see? 2GB kit for £30?! I remember back in the day when a GB of RAM would set you back fucking loads.

I think im gonna wait around a bit. See how prices are after summer, if the 8800's are this cheap now then by the time starcraft 2 actually comes out I should be able to get an 8800 GTX or comparison for less than £130 Smile

Which will be great to run SC2.

well welcome to the day of yesterday

today your super puper vcard costs 600 euro next year or two it's 3 times less, that's how marketing always worked

i'm sure 8800 will be able to run StarCraft 2 as long as blizzard won't get like rs with bully, but i doubt it will ever happen Wink
