We're still waiting for the official press release, but that's ASUS first gaming desktop attempting to intimidate you from the CeBIT floor. The ARES CG6150 is said to offer "breathtaking performance in a menacing armor-cladded case." We'll see. One thing's for sure, they've taken more than a few design hints from Alienware. Republic of gamers, unite!

Update: Details are in. Under the armor you'll find a Core 2 Extreme CPU with support for up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, NVIDIA's 3-way SLI graphic technology, up to 4 Terabytes of hard disk, Dual Power power modules and liquid cooling. Grrr.

... and nothing to play on it Very Happy

Looks like the pre-production guys from Transformers done it. I prefer a more somber and high-tech look myself. But the specs look dam impressive...and I guess dam expensive as well. A lot of bang for A LOT OF BUCKS!

Sobriety in design FTW, *cough* huggin' my lian-li *cough*. Dunno why, when they want to give a futuristic look it finishes like ugly 70s japanimations clichés, that future getting old.

Well, I don't think it looks all that great either, im a hardcore fan of minimalistic and sober design, but..

If i bought a PC that expensive and powerful, i'd kinda want it to show.. Sure, I wouldn't mind a clean, discreet case, but hey.. imagine pointing at a not-so eye popping box and say "Thats my über-expensive, ultra powerful PC!". Or just have that thing, and you would just have to say "Yeah, it's as powerful as it looks.. Like a fucking Transformer!".

Okay, maybe im just rambling now, but you probably get the point Razz

Sod all this sobriety nonsense. With me it's not that. My worry is that I get up one morning and it's got my toaster pregnant.
