A new show coming on tv, on CBC, is MVP: The Secret Lives of Hockey Wives

Like wtf? Dont we have enough hockey related shit in this country already. Every major hockey event is covered from the ohl to the nhl. we have hockey nite in canada. games throughout the week...now its getting ridiculous imo

Jesus, why? I mean, there is absolutely nothing interesting aside from Discovery and History channels, and the rest you can Netflix. All the reality TV shows and crap... totally ruined TV. Now noone in my family watches it any more... just brainwashing and a waste of time.

I watch reruns of shows - star trek's, 90's sitcoms, stand up comedy and movies.

I know theres no new good shows on tv. Sucks. Only newer shows I like are Bionic Woman and Lost....but Bionic woman has been affected by the writers strike...sucks

I seriously believe that all the reality programs and ads/endorsements/etc have a negative effect on the performance of an athlete. The sportstars and their wives are just trying to make as much money as possible but when the athlete becomes a 'brand' it's bye-bye performance.

David Beckham would be a prime example. It seems the more famous he gets, the shittier his on-field performance. But who cares since he's making zillions of dollars from playing for a minor american club and his ads.

I miss the 'serious' sports-stars like Pete Sampras and Ivan Lendl. Sad Sure they had ads and endorsements but you saw them mostly on the field. No reality crap, no designing 'own' clothes, etc.

'Considered' by a lot of English people yes, but if you sit down and look at our applaing perfomance and dont try and blame bad management for this. Then we are really crap Smile

But it never stops the fat unwashed fans from donning nasty nylon shirts every chance they get.. In fact i'm at a loss as to why the football season is called a 'season' as it in fact never ends.. its all year round constant

They have some of the greatest clubs, made in large part of foreign players and financed by lovely people laundering money, otherwise the National team isn't really "the best in soccer". Razz

what is this english football you speak off? the highest football league probably has more foreign players than it does english, most of the managers will no doubt be foreign and alot of the clubs are probably owned by foreigners aswell.

not to mention the new england team coach is foreign and hes brining all of his own foreign staff with him.

theres no room left for english people in english football anymore

i always cheer for england during the world cup Neutral Not like Canada is ever gunna be on that level so not sense hoping.

I had no idea about the state of english football leagues and stuff tho. I thought you guys recruited your own kids like we do for hockey. most of the nhl is canadian, even the american teams. atleast i think most is canadian and then maybe russian or swedish

Is hard to make the A list teams in england? I dunno how you refer to them there...im talking like minor leagues but professional still.

Times are changing brotha, majority of nhlers arent canadian anymore, but still the bigest chunk are.

I know about 15% of nhlers now are ys yanks, more people here arent watching the game, but surley more are playing it here than ever, I guess thats a good thing....espn hockeys gotta come back.
