and i d love to have one!
The infamous Art Lebedev keyboard line by the name of Optimus Maximus, with oled keys finally goes public with an ETA for late february 2008.
I still remember that they said the price-tag would be around the 200 to 400 euro mark. But guess what, the first ones go for as much as 1500 euros
All the iphone-users will be put to shame by this one, so i guess the apple-like overpricing is ok'ish for the first batch of keyboards. I hope to see huge price-drops though, so the average joe like me can get one too without selling my organs on the black-market =)

I want one, I wouldn't pay anywhere near 400 euros.

Wouldn't be practical for me. I have 4+ people using this PC, I eat over the keyboard, who knows how many times my bros watch porn on here, etc. You get the idea - Keyboard and mouse are wear and tear items to me, no point in unloading a fortune on them.

well, if the price-tag was like 200 euros, i d love to get one, because of the productivity gains and the coolness-factor. I m still happy with my old logitec keyboard though =)

know what? i simply hate the standard keyboards now. ever since i moved to using an ergonomic one, ive never ever wanted to go back to the traditional form... i find them completely uncomfortable...
they make that keyboard in an ergonomic format, make it look a little sexier rather than just a flat box, and lower the price to something more reasonable for people who arent ludicrously wealthy, and it'll get my interest

It will rule, but I guess the price will come down once this stuff starts to get mass produced. Might have to wait a year or so but

hehe
I've known this keyboard for like 3 years now or even more, I don't remember.
They kept giving ETAs and all but never managed to go through with them
I wonder when they will finally get their act together and produce some of those things.

Well, they actually produced some to show em off at an event in New York (i think i read that in the production blog at their site), so it s just a matter of production ramping up and prices going down. Or if the market is there, staying the same for some time to maintain exclusivity and a higher profit-margin.
