On my new ASUS Striker Extreme with a Core 2 Quad 2.66 ghz can this memory the "CM2 1024-6400 g" Corsair Twin2x of 1*2 gigs be used to overclock CPU? or if not which one from Corsair should i use? please post the model so my problem is solved.

lol... why shouldn`t it be possible to overclock with this memory?!

The cpu runs @ 8x333?!

the memory is specified for up to 400 mhz fsb - and it will easily go up to ~550... do the math... most likely the cpu limitation will step in much earlier....

so - save some money and get some cheap ddrII-800 ram - timings don`t matter...

If you want to be sure you get a great overclocker - don`t look for the brand: important are the used chips.
get some microns - MIQVD1A16 or ADQVD1A16 will perform fine and go up to ~580 mhz @2,3 - 2,4 volt....
