Theres a lot of immature people around especially on such a public place especailly one revolving around the scene that a lot of people would be uncomfortable with sending their money to someone without some sort of money protection (ebay) how do you know how well someone is with selling/buying? vBulletin has a feedback hack like ebay but doubt this board does. if you got something to sell just post it up in the general section I guess, your better off with ebay.
unless of course it was a hidden forum with strict access.
