So here's the deal: I have a 360 with a modded firmware. It's got the latest Ixtreme and has a Samsung MS28 DVD drive. Lately, and even prior to the firmware update, it having a lot of trouble reading games. It gave me quite a few "open tray" errors and a fair amount of disc read errors while playing games. I had originally figured that the firmware just needed to be updated, but it is still doing the same thing. Sometimes, it now has some discs being recognized as DVD Video (or something like that) and it gives me a message that says "To play this, please insert it into an Xbox 360 console" or it just simply won't read at all. Other times, it loads fine, but it usually isn't without having to either restart the system or insert the disc several times over. Strangely enough, the only game that loads flawlessly every single time is Bioshock (no idea why). I have used various types of media as well, from Verbatim to Memorex, to Fujifilm. Verbatim has worked best, then fujifilm, then Memorex. So my question is, what's the deal? Is my drive dying or what? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Is that a recommended drive for burning 360 games and are you burning them at slow speeds?

the drive i use to burn the games is an LG...been using it since the beginning and have never had a problem up until recently...and i always burn the games at the slowest speeds possible...
