Hi. Ive just tried burning the fifa 08 demo on a DVD+ and again on a dual layer DVD. Both times it says on the xbox mixed media disc but will not load the demo. Am I missing something here as all my other backups are fine. Im using image burner to burn as usual.

When you burn a demo it's normal that it says "mixed media disc". You have to start the demo in "demos and more" in the dashboard.
