Series 1 and 2, Series 3 just started, every Thursday on BBC 3 I believe.
Anyhow weird and unlike any TV series I have seen. Love it!

Quote:
Vince Noir (Noel Fielding), king of the mods and Howard Moon (Julian Barratt), an intellectually vain genius/novelist/poet/wrestler/boxer/jazz musician work in the dysfunctional Zooniverse under the slightly crazed Bob Fossil (Rich Fulcher). The Mighty Boosh follows their surreal adventures through time and space.

Cheers to "headshot" for pointing out the "Mighty Boosh" in the jokes section!!!

I have some mates who love this, I can't see what the big deal is personally.

Ha ha, yea, some of my English mates at work said the same I guess one has to a bit of a Jazz poet oneself to appreciate it...it is weird and utterly surreal humour, that's for sure.

Matter of taste...no? and we still have the freedom of opinion/speech in most countries in the EU (maybe not for much longer but) so we are all right Smile

Ok, I tell you what, as I am not living in the UK and don't really know whats better here, please recommend some stuff and I will be more then willing to check it out...as I just love brit humor, no joke!. Grown up with Black Adder etc, ok long time ago, but I think you guys know your stuff 100 pro!. So please recommend some kick ass stuff. Little Britain, Father Ted, Ab Fab etc etc is stuff I love!, But the stuff that Kaiko posted I never ever heard of so...I start with checking some of that out.

Starting with "Spaced" and "Green Wing" here Wink

The great thing about The Mighty Boosh is the surreality and random obscurity that make up the characters and the events in the show. It really isnt like any other show Ive ever seen before and how they come up with it boggles the mind. You never know what to expect in each episode and thats what makes it so good and intriguing! Plus its always funny!

May the NFOrce be with you always.

Touche!..thats exactly what i like about it + the Jazz/Fusion/ Slap Base jokes (being a bass player myself) spot on!...In one episode they even mention Weather Report, I guess you have to be an ol 80s Jazz/Fusion lover do understand that one
The Cockney geezer with the HUGE "Slap" thumb LAMO!...again I think one had to be in to Level 42 back when FUNK was FUNK! to get that one

and

Been doing EXACTLY that, to many ol tortured friends when I wanted to show some awesome bass solo from Marcus Miller for e.g.
YEA!
And finally some Bass from da KING!
Wink

I really like this show, i usualy dont care that much for british comedy but this is miles ahead of shows like IT Crowd.. I totaly love the psychedelic themes, a very unique and charming show. My favorite ep is still s1e1, the actor doing the "pocket cup!" thing there is often hilarious.

British Humour is the best in the world, Rab is not (IMO) at all funny.

Try Green Wing, Vic Reeves, Monty Python, The Young ones, Red Dwarf, The fast show, Saxondale, Alan Partridge, Porridge. All v funny
