					|  |
					| I recently played Alien Shooter Vengeance and liked it alot but the game has like 5 hours of campaign gameplay, the survival mode is not fun so I'm looking for more games like these, they may be old I don't care. I already played that other alien themed game, can't remember the name. But what I like is a game with the same sort of rpg elements and also loads of weapons, doesn't have to be aliens in them. And yeah I already played all Jagged Alliance games too, so not looking for them either.
 Lemme know k,

 thnx

					| I certainly hope so! I just went straight in for the shotgun and owned everything including the last boss in seconds. It was fun to dabble with power weps too.
 I'll let you know if I run across anything, I'm getting pretty bored with Titan Quest : Immortal Throne. Too easy, and unbelievably similar to D2. MEH!

					| Silent Storm is a recent game which is similar in combat style to Fallout, X-Com and Jagged Alliance. It also has RPG elements in a sense. Maybe you would be interested in playing Abomination as well, it has alien type invasion and various mission types and it's kind of like X-Com in you have to defend your part of the world. It's a cool game, or at least I really enjoyed it. Setting up automated mini-guns and defending area's from the threat and so on. Wish there was an updated version.
 I've never played the game your talking about, so I'm just going off of the above post and your Jagged Alliance reference.

					| Weird isn't it how everybody is going back to play the good old oldies with very little interest in the new mega blockbuster games, there must be a lesson here for game developers. Why take 5 years to make a shit game with state-of-the-art graphics when you can make a game with totally addictive gameplay in 6 months. Doh! | |

 holy shit, I thought I was the only one on this planet that knew of Abomination, that game was so unbelievably awsome, too bad it never got to take off that well, had co-op too

 Abomination

 Now if you want to get old school then give Take No Prisoners a try.

					| well I'm an oldschool gamer who had over 3000 games for my amiga, and well over 500 for my c64 so i still tend to go for gameplay over graphics and lately addictive gameplay is nowhere to be found:( PC games that really struck me over the years with addictive gameplay are,
 Baldurs Gate series
 Planescape Torment
 Jagged Alliance series
 X-Com series
 Forsaken
 Unreal 1
 Quake 1 and 2
 Duke Nukem:LOL:
 Wolfenstein Enemy Territory/Return to Castle Wolfenstein

 What have all these games basically in common I then ask myself, all have some kind of RPG element and the levels are explorable and have secrets(forsaken had hidden rooms, RTCW, Duke, Unreal, Quake). As for the Rpg's if you looked hard enough you could find hidden loot, and thats what made this games even more addictive:)

 PS : one game that was a new welcome refreshment was company of heroes, that game rocked as well, but its only drawback was that it didn't have enough units for my taste, still play it though. But an addon is announced so can't wait for that.

 You should try Alien Swarm, superb coop mod for UT2004. Also being made for Source in the future.

 Main Features:
 ==============

 The plague is once again stalking the earth. In six days a superpower has
 vanished under the heels of the most virulent virus humanity has ever
 known. Starting in New York on a Sunday, it made it's way to Los Angles by
 the following Saturday leaving a swath of victims spewing blood from every
 orifice. No cure. No hope. Only death.

 As the devastation spread, so did the insanity. A cult blossomed as the
 body count rose. Calling themselves the Faithful, they preached the demise
 of mankind and the absolution of the BROOD. 'Embrace the true Faith or
 suffer damnation.'

 In the bowels of a classified government complex, the eight survivors of
 Project Nemesis awake to a New World. Nemesis, a black ops program, sought
 to create the ultimate covert operative. Genetically augmented volunteers
 from Delta, SEALS, and Force Recon were engineered to be the ultimate
 weapons for low intensity conflicts. Now they have to fight a war against
 a different kind of enemy.

 Game Features:
 ==============

 * Employ stealth to infiltrate enemy positions.
 * Utilise military tactics to accomplish mission objectives and gain the
 strategic initiative.
 * Defend your installations.
 * Research the enemy and devise new technology.

 * LAN, Internet, modem and serial connection play for 1 to 8 players.
 * Multiple modes of play: including campaign, co-operative and head-to-
 head games.
 * Extreme ease of entry: players can leave and join campaign games at will
 * Play by email: email a mission to a friend - they can replay your
 operation to learn your tactics or they can take control and try to beat
 your performance.
 * unlimited number of players.

					| Did anybody play Abomination? Doesn't look all that great to me.
 I'm dying to play a great game for PC! So tired of the flavorless varieties of FPS out there. Play one and you've pretty much played them all. Shoot monsters or shoot people, whatever. I'm so tired of that genre and it seems devs only want to make these types of games anymore. Bleh.

 Ya, I actually owned the legit copy till my asshole friend misplaced it, I had A LOT of fun playing it.

 granted now that were in far more advanced stages of GFX, most people wouldn't go back to such an old game unless they enjoyed it alot...so in my case, I was actually playing this a few weeks ago.

					| Did you ever tried Restricted Area ? It's a two year old action RPG set in a Fallout-like universe, it wasn't the greatest of games, but if you have finished all of the rest of valuable titles you could try it.
