Managed to validate vista. I am using nForce4 board (ASUS) on AMD sckt 939 machine.
Have Paradox V3 activation.
I read that people are getting BSOD due to Royal.SYS.
This was happening to me as well as other BSOD.
Finally managed to get in going by installing sound driver first (XP drivers). Installing sound drivers after Paradox resulted in BSOD (Bad_Pool_Call)
Then run Paradox
Then Install nVidia graphics card. Installing after Paradox causes issues with Royal.SYS
Did not install nForce mobo drivers as this causes BSOD (Bad_Pool_Call)
However, I have noticed that everything is fine, except certain control panel applications. (Like uninstall) I tried to use the Uninstall control applet and it kept giving me Bad_Pool_Call BSOD. However the Start Menu unistall option managed to remove the app without any complaints.
Are there any other issues with Paradox V3 and control panel applications. I don't want to get 1-2 months down the line and need to use a control panel app and find it keeps BSOD my machine.
Thanks.

Paradox' cracks sucks actually. It's too hardware dependent, and causes too many problems. The loader is safer and works with much wider variety of hw.

Why not try to find a modified BIOS with the SLIC tables in it? Or make one yourself...

Install your mobo drivers. DONT RESTART.
Find Royal.sys somewhere in your windows folder (do a search)
Rename it to Royal2.sys or simply remove it (I renamed it, for backup)
Restart
Your windows works.
