Well well I think we all have a deep desire to see the result of this
Game -> Movie project.

Anyway newest update on it, is:

Urban takes aim at 'Doom' for Universal

Karl Urban, who played the assassin in "The Bourne Supremacy," will star in "Doom" for Universal Pictures. The video game adaptation is being directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak, with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and John Wells producing. "Doom" was written by Dave Callaham. Urban will play John Grimm, the leader of a special ops team that is at the center of the futuristic action-adventure film. When dealing with alien demons, he is forced to cross paths with the organization responsible for his parents' deaths. Production is slated to begin late next month, with an Aug. 5 release planned. Scott Stuber, vice chairman of worldwide production at Universal Pictures, is overseeing with senior vp production Dylan Clark. New Zealand-born Urban gained international attention playing Eomer in the "Lord of the Rings" movies. He also starred in Universal's "The Chronicles of Riddick." Urban repped by CAA, Auckland Actors, and Colden McKuin & Frankel. (Borys Kit)

A doom movie, this will be darker than the alien series i bet, and i don't like the alien series since its pretty much like d3, running around in dark corridors with no variety.

Yea heard about it long ago.
The following games are going to be made into movies (some of them are novels):
Far Cry
Rainbow 6
Bloodrayne
Silent Hill
Alone In The Dark
Doom

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

If Ben Kingsley agreed to be directed by Uwe Boll it will be muchhhhhhhhhhhh better then his "masterpiece" house of the dead.
I'm looking forward for Uwe's movies now.

Or maybe David Croneberg could make it. Then maybe the marinedude would have a meatgun and everything would evolve around sex, flesh and machines. Now that's a Doom movie I'd watch. David Lynch is not a bad idea either Smile

Robocop was not a videogame dude. Super mario, ahhh, the memories. One of Dennis Hoppers finer moments. And B Hoskins, he doesn't act. He is Mario, oscarmaterial for sure. And that leguaizaaumo dude who also made a strong impression in the Spawn movie. Great performances from all involved. Two big toenails up from Fat Ebert. Not really on the same level as the action epic know as... Double dragon though, but still good. Ok, no more sarcasm from me Laughing
