I just finished setting up my new rig and installed Test Drive Unlimited.
When I double click the .exe it loads up (black screen) and then minimizes. If I click the minimized window, it opens and minimizes again immediately. This goes on for ages like that.
I can hear the sound of the movies playing, and later the menus but they somehow don't get displayed.
My Desktop resolution is set to 1280x960.
When I set it to 1024x768 (Test Drive default res) it the game works. But as soon as I change the resolution in-game, it minimizes again. (only way to stop it is killing the process)
I had a similar Problem with GRAW, also minimizes when changing res but it can be fixed by restarting and the game is playable.
So this is definitely not the game's fault, it must be some settings or drivers or whatever.

Please help :X

I had the same problems when using a dual monitor setup. Now just using one monitor no more minimizing. Could be the same with your setup?

Thx, for the tip, it actually was the refresh rate. It was set to 100hz in Windows, but to 85hz in the Nvidia Panel. When I set it to 100hz and started the game it worked. Great Laughing

And btw I have only 1 (crappy) monitor. Gonna buy a TFT soon tho. I'm out of money now, my new rig cost me 1500€ Crying or Very sad
