any1 know any way of cleaning them up or an option to do so i dont get artefacts with this 6 month old 7900gs Sad

Yeah, keep your video card clean and dust-fee. Best method to keep your video game from dying/getting damage.

mines already on the way out only had it for 6 months or so Sad

ive tryed changing the apesure size in the bios of the gfx card setting i changed it too 64 mb it was on 128 and it seems to of made a little difference the artefacts aint as bad now Sad
any other ideas any1 please?

Don't overheat it. And if is only 6 months old have it replaced by the store you bought it from.

Is the card overclocked?

Only experience with artifacts is as a result of heat, overclocking or faulty memory. If it's temporary and can be fixed think reducing heat or clock speed is the way to tell if it's not permanent damage.

Also, the fact that the thing is 6 months old means that legally you still have six months statutory UK warranty, irrespective of whether you bought it new or not.

ive pissed about with this card in the past though removed fan etc so no doubt theyll return it saying that the warrenty is viod ill give it a try though see what happens .

i notiiced something in that ati tools programme .
when i ran it i went to setting at looked through the settings and the 2 it listed at the bottom were active pixel pipeline 16???????
and
active vertex piplines 6??????

i mean wtf isnt this 7900gs 256 mb card supposed to have like 20 pipeline compared to the 7900gt and 7 vertex pipelines not 6?????
wtf is happening lol
