My brother-in-law wants to get a laptop and a wireless router. Now my question is, if they can only get dial up out where they live can he still use a wireless router. Everything i know about routers you would need a high speed internet connection because of the cat 5 connector. Any info would be great.

If it's not broke, i can fix it

I haven't tried the big gigaset, but I have tried to set up wireless with usb wireless at friends house, and it worked, but I remember that it was a pain in the ass, you have to allow everything, sharing etc. It was pretty fucked up, but with high speed it was really easy, just click at the automatic installation (for big gigaset), and everything is set up...

Sounds strange using a wireless network on the one hand and dial-up on the other.Very Happy Seems you can't use any standard wifi router with dial-up.
