Yup, it's THE Mercenaries 2, sequel to the console hit. Confirmed for PC as of yesterday (previously considered as a next-gen console exclusive).

This game is going to rule! I played the first one and it was just a fantastic experience, like GTA in a warzone but with the added bonus of virtually unlimited firepower at your command. It even had particle physics for the smoke ffs! I can't wait to see what they pull off with the next-gen consoles. "Faith without logic is the same as knowledge without understanding; meaningless"

First game was like GTA with less story but more firepower and explosions (fuel-air-bomb, B-52 carpet bombing and such for free disposal) and the option to level almost everything you could see, buildings etc.
GTA in North Korea for short.

The only thing I'm worried about is the scenery, if this latin america place is as interesting as a North Korea in full war.

Are there civilians in the streets and stuff, or just military around? Get kinda confused looking at the screens.
