Sigh.
Ive always been a big newegg fan... but after trying their "preferred" account setup... im pissed.
I succesfully ordered my LCD monitor and had it shipped to a different address than my home address to avoid sales tax using my credit card.
I wanted to put the rest on my preferred account because it allows for no intrest and no payments for 6 months. Well... first they told me my inital order for my preferred account (just opened it today) had to go to my house and then i would be able to ship to an alternate address. I thought no biggie. So I had the arctic 5 thermal paste succesfully sent to my house. Then, I tried to order my parts again... still wouldnt go through. This time I was told that while I can ship to an alternate address, there is a limit to monetary amount than can be shipped... and get this... the friggin amount (so the girl told me) changes every day and she can't tell me nor can she find out what that amount is. WTF?!
So... then I try dividing the goods into seperate smaller orders... nothing goes through except when I got it down to a freaking memory cooler of $24.00.
I cancelled that. I really just wanted to see what i could get to go through to the alternate address.
So, I call again. This time I am told that my account is under "manual review" with no time frame given as to when my problem can be resolved.
To make my rant a little shorter, anyone got any suggestions of other online vendors to order from? I have always used Newegg... but to say I am a little pissed at the fact that I am having to jump through hurdles to spend $3000.00 dollars at their pissy site is pissing me off to no end. Rediculous. I understand fraud protection... but my GOd... when I have already ordered a 800 dollar LCD thats going to the same alternate address and they wont let me do it with the other stuff because Im trying to use my "PREFERRED" account? Bullshit.
