I got Resistance and Marvel Alliance with the PS3. I also got a 9 dollar per month game rental membership. They are giving the first month free. So which games should I borrow?

Not much out that isn't already out and looking better on the 360. Motorstorm maybe?
I would say to anyone that it's a waste of money to get a PS3 at this point in time, but especially for you hiatus, considering you already have a 360 which you hardly use. At least a Wii offers something different.
I guess you have money to throw away though, at least I hope you do otherwise this is an idiotic purchase.

I just want to chip in and back up AnimalMother here... I hope you feel like playing through Resistance like 359085 times because it's the only game you're going to use on the PS3 at the moment..

I have a 500 dollar spending limit per quarter that I use on PC hardware, consoles, entertainment stuff and boardgames. This is all just coming out of that. And usually I am able to recycle the funds. For eg., I got the PS3 after selling the 8800 GTS, got a 7900 GT selling my psp, bought a lcd TV selling some of my boardgames and so on and so forth. Its all abt manging funds.
BTW I have started playing a lot more on the 360 since theres nothing worthwhile on the pc. In fact My game pc has been shutdown for almost a week now. Only my media center machine is running to streams tuff to the 360.

Considering how late it is coming out you would expect a stronger lineup from the PS3, resistance is pretty much the only exclusive game which is any good.
Heavenly sword looks quite interesting though.

i have a ps3 and resistance and i played online for 2 days and after that i stopped. i don't like online or the multiplayer. not trying to be a fanboy for 360(i just have a wii and ps3) so not starting a flamewar, just saying.

currently there are 3 must have games on the ps3... each in their respective genre.
R:FOM
Motorstorm(import)
Tekken: Dark Ressurrection at the sickneningly cheap price of about 18-20 dollars via the HK download store.
especially the last game came as a surprising blow since it was announced and released all within the same month and that game alone makes the ps3 worth buying for me alone.. not to mention it's fricking cheap and a direct arcade port.

just remember Motorstorm doesn't have multiplayer (nither online or hotseat), doesn't have any time attack, and loooong loading...
the import is like an expanded demo. I'm not saying the game sucks, it just doesn't have any features...

It will have multi-player (Online), it's just the Japanese version that hasn't. Don't worry.
