The world's fastest brawler returns with its unique two-button gameplay. Using our 1:1
response system, players will feel the bone-crunching impact of every button press.
Just remember, do not button mash.
FEATURES
As Fast As Ever:
The lightning-fast gameplay is back without any compromise to the tight two-button control scheme. At the highest speeds, it's blazing fast, but still manageable.
Single Player Experience:
The game is a single player experience, designed for short bursts of entertainment.
Play while waiting for online matches in other games to start, or just use it as a
pallet cleanser between genres.
Tonnes-O-Levels:
We made too many levels, because well... we wanted to play a lot.
Now featuring blind levels (no attack bars).
New Level Types:
As you play through the game, you'll be challenged by new level types, such as Deadly Target, Horror Show, Blade Storm, Ghost, Drunken Master and many more.
Stickmen Again:
Although stickmen are simple looking, they allow us to include a vast variety of different kung-fu moves in our game. The multitude of different animations combine into one fluid scene, to make an intense action sequence. This is something we could only achieve by using stickmen.
Skills Return:
There are 26 skills in the game. Some old ones return, some new ones emerge.
Unlike OFDP1, which restricted you to 5 skills at a time, OFDP2 lets you have all 26 skills
active at the same time. It gives you an incredible sense of power.
Survival:
Our survival mode is back. However, it's still
in the works, so we don't have many details on that yet.
A Couple Extra Game Modes:
There will be a couple more game modes that we'll announce when they're ready.
[
b]Couch Cooperative Survival:[/b]
There is a limited couch cooperative survival mode that you and friend can play together.
Take turns tagging in and out of combat, and the resting player regenerates health.
Because there are two of you, the survival challenge is much harder. Note that this is a
limited experience, and you should purchase OFDP2 for its single player merits alone.
Premium Game: OFDP2 will be a standard premium game. Price is TBD at the moment.
Built with Unity:OFDP2 is built completely from the ground up, using Unity, with all new artwork.
Silver Dollar Games: We are two brothers, who made a bunch of games on XBLIG. They're all gone now, since XBLIG closed in 2017. Oh, and we made One Finger Death Punch.
xperience cinematic kung-fu battles in the fastest, most intense brawler the indie world has ever seen! With the unique 1:1 response system of One Finger Death Punch, players will feel the immediate feedback of every bone-crunching hit.
Pay tribute to the masters using five classic kung-fu styles mixed with additional weapons. Combine face-to-face combat with throwing weapons to recreate complex fight choreographies or just send bad guys flying through glass windows. Explore a world map with over 250 stages, 13 modes, and 3 difficulty levels. Unlock 21 different skills that can be combined in thousands of ways to assist you in your journey. Put your kung-fu to the ultimate test in the survival mode.
One Finger Death Punch is a game you can “feel”. The direct connection between your mouse and your character on the screen will be a new experience for many players. When you string together a long, complex string of kills, it feels like something “you” did rather than something the game let you do. When you play it you feel like you’re actually playing a Xiao Xiao stick animation video. We took inspiration from every kung-fu film we’ve seen. Every bit of effort was poured into delivering an easy to play game that was as addictive to play as Tetris.
Every Press Matters! DO NOT BUTTON MASH!
One of the biggest challenges we had while making the game is stopping the player from button mashing. When our friends play tested our game they’d instinctively button mash, they couldn’t help themselves. It must have been the many years of playing other brawlers that engraved it in their minds the notion of rapidly pressing buttons to kill your foes. The game’s designed in such a way that if you button mash, you die. Every press matters. Although playing the game should still be simple, you see a bad guy in front of you, you attack him, he dies. If you punch even once when there’s no enemy in front of you, you’re going to miss. If you miss, chances are you’re going to get hit. It’s a simple system but it’s ruthless to button mashers. We spent much time setting up visual and audio queues as well as many warnings trying to steer players away from their natural button mashing tendencies.
Played the first one extremely little since I told myself I wouldn't pirate it so I never really got around to buying it. Bought this one now instead! It's actually cheaper than the first on Steam right now, heh...
