Well the 1.0 crack for precursors found on GCW seems to work with the 1.1 patch. Smile

I usually use the anti-starforce forums for such info but GCW usually have most of those files.
(Not always though as seen with the numerous 1.0x hotfix patches for Disciples 3 and a few other recent titles, shame they don't have a way to dectrypt some of the star-force encrypted data files though as that would help in titles like Swarm when trying to reach into it and see what else is in there*.)

(* - Use of this was to find the localization data as done with Steam Slug and other titles since the X360 version now called MorphX was released but the PC localization canceled via 505 games probably due to expected poor sales or some such yet if you remove the localization folder in the game dir and change the config file the archive data will extract the file from the packed info within, impossible to get ahold of though as the data is encrypted, some groups manage to get around this but it's apparently very difficult.)

( http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4433&p=37995&hilit=starforce#p37995 and http://worthplaying.com/article/2010/3/30/news/73356/ for sources to this.)

Oh fucking EW. That sucks... getting serious mouse issues in Precursors, but only when turning RIGHT. Every other direction? It's fine, full speed no issues, but turning right and it slows down so that I'm having to keep lifting off the mouse.

Grr.

Disabling vsync offsets it a little bit.. but not much. As for the game itself? It couldn't be any more like Xenus 2 (White Gold) if it tried Very Happy Seriously, aside from the "Avatar-esque" landscapes on planets, it's identical to White Gold! Gameplay, style, menus, dialogues... it's basically "White Gold in Space" as JB said.

Yes, install it just don't RUN it. The SF drivers are installed on first run, so don't run the game until you've cracked it.

So, how buggy is this game? I mean, russian games aren't exactly known for being polished.

Ever played Boiling Point? There ya go. *laughs* All three (Boiling Point, Boiling Point 2, Precursors) are as buggy as each other.

I dunno,I haven't had any serious bugs in precursors(yet).
There is the screen flickering bug though(that JB and sabin mentioned),but it doesn't bother me much since it's not so severe and some enemy AI bugs(standing instead of attacking)...that's about it.

Gameplay wise I love it. Smile

Precursors has been ok so far... shitty performance and some weird mouse lag (mentioned earlier) but I think I'm going to enjoy it a lot more than White Gold, once I start really getting into it. MASSIVE game, absolutely massive - gonna take me a while to finish this.

How much of the game is translated? Enough for a complete noob to play? (I don't need to know the story and shit, just want some fresh gameplay)

All of it. 100% =) Wesp5 has been a busy little bee... 100% of both White Gold and Precursors translated; all story text as well as OGG movies being subtitled too. Turns out there was a large percentage of English text hidden away in the game files themselves, Wesp5 and a few others basically translated the rest and made it a pretty damned good translation too. No babelfish shit here.

For the most part...

I just watched some videos and the game looks very fun! But I'm still trying to encourage myself to download patches, fixes, the english translation and all the shit needed to make it run properly.

Also, I haven't tried Xenus 2 yet, but I'm used with this kind of game because I've finished Boiling Point. Which one is the best (performance, translation, less bugs) to play right now?

has there been an update to the mouse issue? I can put a blind eye to the crapy dialog, some bugs here and there or unimpressive gpx but the shitty mouse movements is something I just cant ignore.

And that why we are called Hardcore gamers , because we play in environment full of bugs ,patches and mods Which you CANT handle , its harsh conditions indeed for you , BUT because we are HARDCORE we overcome it. Laughing

WTF are you talking about ? YOU SOUND LIKE A "BOUNDLE" clone , anyway i will try to reply as much as i understood from your cryptic writings Laughing

for myself i never used a trainer or a cheat in my life, if i die or something like that i load or repeat till i pass the game to the end .
That sir called a "CHALLENGE" you meet in a game , not braging about how easy games for consoles are ,as if it is something superior. if the game is easy from start to finish = BORING & not challenging
