Oii! Ok had my box for couple of weeks now but the fan noise/HDD is starting to get on my nerves.Is there any silent fans to buy for the 360? or any good mods out there to get the noise down?

Would be fucking great but I don't think so. A new Xbox 360 is coming in the first quarter of 2007 and that one will be fucking less loud! But for quiet games it's too fucking loud

There are replacement fans you can buy and use, check divineo and you'll see. I have no idea if they are that much quiter though. However the thing that makes most sound in my X360 is the dvd-rom when there's a disc in it. Behold his GLORY! Bow for the technical master!

The 360 HDD is one of the quietest drives ever built. The DVD drive makes the most noise with a disc spinning at 12x, next come the fans that adjust their speed based on load (try a demo off the hdd, without a dvd, to hear just the fans). Third is the PSU (power brick) which is DEAD SILENT unless yours is broken.

yup the dvd drive makes the noise i can never hear my fans even with the tv at just a normal level if i have the 5.1 on i cant hear shit
