I absolutely loved The Tick cartoons when I was a kid, but it's been so long that I don't remember much from them. I have no idea how well this is adapted. That being said, I just watched this and I really like it actually. They got that quirky tone and feel of the series just right!
The Tick's suit looks really weird in live action though. I feel like it's because a real human won't have those crazy cartoons proportions. It might just be the design of the suit itself that I find weird, I'm not sure really. I guess it's not the worst thing, he's not supposed to be the most serious of superheroes, heh.

There was another live action series in 2001 and I think the suit looked better. More like a comic book come to life unlike the new "gritty" version:
I don't like the costumes too, the previous ones were more in the tone of the character but they probably didn't want it to look like a sequel.
So it's original creator of the previous Ticks. Might be good but the guy have some crap on his resume like Revolution.
