look here: http://www.avisynth.org/Section+2:+AviSynth+and+frameserving
find this question: "Q2.8: How do I load my clip into AviSynth (video) ?" then find the bullet that says: ATSC transport streams
from what it reads there is a special version of dvd2avi that can handle those files, then its just as simple as making a .d2v and loading it into an avisynth script and use it for framserving, then open it with a mediaplayer and that should solve your problems.. i think, dont know much about .ts files.

Actually the answer to your question is VLC Player. TS files are files produced by sat's that are streamed to the boxes. People took those streams and were able to get it going on the pc. So find VLC Player no need to worry about a AviSynth script with it.

Put all files in HDTV2MPEG and output one big ts file instead of lot's of small ones.
That's the way I do it then I stream them to a TVIX 5000 media player.
Works really well.

I use a bat file to do the work for me.
Have all the files together in a folder. Make a text file. Write "copy /b *.ts output-file.ts" in it, where "output-file" is the new name of merged .ts files. Run the bat file. It combines the small .ts files into one big one.
