Anybody know of a reasonably priced pair of headphones or earphones for use with the iPod that also has volume control? I'm not an audiophile but obviously I don't want to buy anything worse than the regular iPod earphones which are fine for casual listening.

Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a good pair of earbuds myself, and these look really uncomfortable. Do you actually own any of these? How are they?

Nope, but they look kinda like a pair of Koss the Plug, wich one of my friends had once. They look uncomfortable, but once theyre in your ear they are fine.

I have a pair of these

How are those nouseforaname? I mean sound quality etc. I guess that style of earbuds can be comfortable because it looks similar to Shure E4C , and they are supposed to be top of the line. Too bad they go for almost $200.

Speaking of high quality headphones, check out the most expensive pair.

AKG K1000. You can get a pair on ebay for $1,299.00

yeah, same style. I usually hate earbuds, but these ones are comfy. Plus mine came with 3 different plug sizes so I picked the ones that fit best.

These came with my phone, so they're not exactly top of the line. They still sound pretty good. Smile

The speaker capsule uses a unique, freely vibrating multilayer diaphragm driven by a newly developed, radially magnetized VLD (Ventilated Linear Dynamic) magnet system. Sitting in front of the ear, this dynamic transducer provides the best acoustic coverage factor. The earphones using no acoustically hard parts, the sound is absolutely free to develop in all its splendor. The speakers are acoustically finetuned in a computer-optimized process including time-energy distribution (Wigner distribution) measurements and made with advanced manufacturing techniques. The result is an unobstructed plane sound field in front of the ear that provides a personalized listening experience.
