Worst Day EVER ( Far too long I know)
I had to empty out my safety deposit box today and I forgot I shared it with a relative who was also my good friend and sometimes room mate (off and on) . I lost him about 4 or 5 yrs ago. His gold watch was in there plus a bunch of other stuff. I started crying in the fucking bank. Then I realised that I had his stuff and not his stupid and lazy wife and that make me feel better so I stopped.
Then I have to go to his parents house. They needed new stairs and I had a contractor that I used. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. I was trying to do them a favour. They were complaining that he didn’t know how to buy good wood. There are cracks in some pieces. I am explaining to them about this stuff and they just didn’t get it. Like the guy is going to go to 50 different stores looking for the most perfect looking wood.
Contractor is there and he is getting pissed off with them. They were trying to use any piece of old wood from the previous set of stairs to save money. The guy is trying to do what they want but it was impossible. Then the mom says “I know these things, I watch Holms on Homes. That was it. He said he was outta there and I am running after him, and then he starts yelling at me and throwing equipment into the back of his truck. Then he drives off and there is a little bit of the job still left. Now I am fucked.
The parents are all pissed at me so they are telling me I am stupid, what a big mistake it was in listening to me. Pretty harsh stuff. She wants to re-use the old wood and it has to be cut down the middle with a skill saw to make the fence part. She making everything so difficult. It has to be finished, but I already know I can’t get another contractor to do it because it is such a stupid and small job. So I pile all the wood into my van and drive away. (crying again)
I drive to the liquor store and buy a flat of beer. (that is 24) and I drive 2.5 hrs in rush hour traffic across town and then some. I get there just as he is leaving but still catch him. I give him the beer apologising and begging. Yes begging him to finish. He refuses. One of his help (journeymen/whatever) asked what I needed done. I showed him the wood and he said he could do that for X amount of dollars. (tears down my face like some idiot) on 2 conditions. I help him do it, and I have to buy him dinner at the boathouse. (The job is this sat.) Helping him out if fine because I can control the parents, somewhat. I really don’t want to take him out for dinner. If he helps me out he totally deserves it. I am thinking of buying him some gift certificates that way he can go with date or someone and it is still on my dime so all is fair.
OK problem taken care of. Now I drive all the way back to the parents house and measure everything I need. (fuck I hope I did it right or else I will never hear the end)
This is the last time I try to help out the extended family. Advice for all you out there. Let people find their own people to do things. You don’t want to end up in the middle.

That sucks Pistol. But its life you know? Gotta roll with the punches and try to let things slide. easier said then done still.
And whats wrong with crying in public? its not weak and you shouldnt feel bad. If thats the way you respond to things, then its all good. crying obviously helps so its ok
I'd give ya a hug if i could. I like being hugged when im upset, i dunno if your the same

Well, I say remaining true to yourself is the way to go. If you need to cry, cry. Who cares who sees? who cares what they think? When I see a woman crying in public, usually i approach her and try to find out if i can help. PPl dont look down on others crying. Atleast, i dont think ppl do, i know i dont.
And sometimes its good to cry. to let out stored up emotion and such.

Honestly I would freak out if some guy approached me if I was crying. I never sob out loud and all that stuff. I just kinda start shaking and I get the tears. So difficult I can feel it right in the back of my throat. That was what happened today. I don’t want people knowing. Would you want people knowing if you started crying?
Anyone special I was with would know to show no emotion to it because it would just make me worse. Then I would be mad at them. Some women I have seen cry really hard but I don’t. Just my eyes water, that is it. when I lost my friend I didn’t even really cry that much. |
So you like to be alone when your upset?

When I did my driving it was different.
You go for a learners by taking a written/computer test. Then you pass a road test.
I got my learners 2 times, First time booking a road test was too full, too long of a waiting list. So I had to do the written test all over again. ( learners was only for 6 months)
I was so nervous when I had to take the test but I passed barley, but I did pass. I almost went down a wrong way street because it was an area where I had never driven before. I was 21.
Good luck

Why don't you want to take that guy to dinner? Is he really that ugly that you won't even take the time to get to know him?
It's obvious he likes you, thats probably the only reason he's doing the job, and the reason he wants you to help is so that you can keep him company.
I could be wrong of course, but it seems that way.

She's in tears and he only accepts if they go to dinner. That man is a fucking moron. Shiv him in the back when he's not looking and send the body my way.

You must be fucking joking, he wants you to take him to dinner yet you don't think he's interested. Thats absurd.
Unless there is some other factor which you're not telling us (like he's 15 or something) I can't see it any other way.

You know what? You are being really mean tonight.
The guy wants a fucking dinner, at an expensive restaurant to say the least. If he could get the sex he would probe go for that too. I am not stupid. I think I would know if some guy was interested in me or not. Thank you very much. It could be some contest for all I know but I don’t think my contractor would allow it because of money on his part. (He hates my guts now so who knows) I can’t even remember what d-man even looked like ( I was upset, really upset) but I would have to say 26-32 but who knows
