best vacation we ever had... 
last monday we drove to campbell river (just up north on the island here) to drop off our son at his grand parents, no biggie, we did that every summer for about a week. the boy enjoys being with grandma and grandpa and so do they.
anyways, we got there monday afternoon and spend the night there, left their place some time tuesday afternoon. we decided to visit a friend and his girlfriend. we had pretty good fun until...
yes until he decided to take his dogs for a walk at the beach. we drove to to the first beach which was just packed, and his one dog is kinda weird. if there are lots of people around, that dog just craps everywhere, barely stops  so he got sick of picking up after him all the time and he said we should go to another beach, which is less crowded.
no problem, another 15 minutes drive and we found a beach which was pretty empty. so we walked up to the beach which is just loaded with logs everywhere. you have to walk over them to reach the beach and at one my wife slipped and smashed her head right into a log and she was just screaming, not because of her head but her wrist. we calmed her down after about 10 minutes, but at that time her whole wrist was swallen and to be sure we drove to the ER.
3 hours later in the ER we were told that she broke her wrist. kinda lucky if you saw how she smashed her head right into a log. we left the hospital at around 11.30pm and we decided to head home to nanaimo. we arrived home at about 2am, walked up to the house and we noticed that the patio window was broken!!! well, not exactly broken but shattered (the spiderweb pattern you usually see on shattered windshields or something)
the next morning i had a closer look, and one think puzzled me. i didnt see any sort of impact on the window, not even a dent. so i asked our neighbours if they saw anything. nobody saw nothing, and one woman said that when she took her dog out for a walk the evening before the window was just fine (11pm). so i walked to the caretaker to let him now (we live in a townhouse complex), so he came over and had a look and he saw a really small dent and said it was probably a ball. i didnt buy it though, what kids play ball after 11pm??? so later this morning i'll have a call and get security alarm installed...
anyways, the next day we left for victoria, and i told my wife that we stay a few extra days because of her wrist  we just wanted to stay for about 2 days and then go camping with our friends but we had to cancel it. the trip was pretty nice and thank god our house was still standing when we came back yesterday afternoon
now thats a reason to bitch!!!

and luckely you didnt broke your wrist or your wife would have been even more in pain (thumb thing ) <-- tell her this
