Hey guys, I try to follow the psp scene these days, but the methods to run shit has always been crazy madness on the psp, so sometimes I get lost, kinda' like right now.
What are all these new compressions out there? DAX and CiSO? What's goin' on here?
Are these seperate styles to load images that are compressed beyond ISO format? Or are they something else?
Are they used in conjuction with DEVHOOK? Or do they need their own loader software, etc?
I remember DAX had something to do with loading over USB (as another thread states) but do they make the images smaller for memory sticks? Can DEVHOOK load them or are they seperate pieces of software that don't have anything to do with eachother?
CiSO is used together with the new Devhook (v0.40/0.41), about the same as DAX in terms of compression.
DAX is used together with DAX_ZISO loader and also compresses the iso's (it does depend from game to game).
Devhook can't load Dax files and the other way around.
