I have the following system, AMD Barton 3000+ @ 2186 Mhz (32Bit), 1500 Mb DDR, 6600GT 128 Mb DDR3.

and I'm questioning about if this system will be able to run the upcoming Windows Vista, I plan to buy a new system until january, but even so, I will continue to use this one as a 2nd pc running vista.

I WILL! Razz

I actually believe the specs released to some degree, i think the OS will run on a 1ghz machine with all the "pretty bits" turned off. From what I have read Vista will handle gaming differently than XP does, as XP layers the directX/openGL output over its GUI where as Vista will be using a very GFX intensive GUI so the game will simply be swapped out by it when ran, this should see an pretty big improvement in game performance when using vista, although it may require a great PC to run it as well as applications Wink...

XP for older games
