Early 2007 the first 10,000 customers will be able to enjoy their 1000MB connections, at first they will have to pay about €90 a month but since the net is open and therefore invites competing isp's the prices will drop dramaticly in the first year.
Sweden was first with 10MB And 100MB connections and will be first again with the 1000MB connection. Sweden continues to be the world leader says JB of Labs2!

I want one, to bad its just in available in Lund to start with! Very Happy

@Topic

yeyeye, we know Sad
I fucking hate the damn swedish commersal on discovery or whatever...
Globecom or something offering 25mbit for 260sek or something... what the fuck, and the worst thing is that the commersal sucks Very Happy
You can get cheap connections of you live in the town in Norway too, but nothing compare to the price in Sweden.

That is awesome. Someone has to keep pushing competition to higher limits otherwise the companies will still be offering 2MB lines at exhorbitant prices well into 2010.

Although the dl speed would still be dependant on the source but I guess there would be similar improvement in commercial packages too. The best results would be in p2p though. Not that anyone here uses it though. Razz

First of all BBB, Bostream and all the others should work on their routing and peering, cause it sucks really big time! Secondly it will surely be only 1000/10 like they now only offer 100/10.

Good oh good i hate TDC! We could have been average with Sweden, perhaps even further than Sweden in internet connection.

We are still the leading country in IT in our homes and the standards of it, i think.

hehe, this won't last for long then Smile. Do you remember then they first offered 100/100 with unlimited traffic. Soon after they limited the traffic to 300Gb a month, guess they were surprised about the traffic Wink Do they even offer 100/100 at the moment? I know they upgrade most of the 10/10 connections to 100/10.

Maybe BBB dont but here i get 100/100 for 249kr (like 30usdollar) a month with no limitations.

And this wont really be a test as some think, we have had 1000/1000 for some years localy on universetys, this is just furst to be for everyone. Most likely other cities will have it soon after if it goes well.

in a fair price...around 256Kbps (2MBit...I guess)
the bright side is that we arent limited in downloading bandwidth... im downloading more then 100GB per month..and paying less then 35 US$.
so I perfer this then 1GB\s connection and limited (have to pay more ... for more dwnds...)
I can donwload as much as I want and still to pay the same price...

100mbit for indoor use...(home use) ,dont think so.... I doubt we have something like that in israel.
I dont have any prob with the d\l speed...the big problem is the upstream...most of us have 12kbps upstream.... thats a crap!! (ping wise)
