Ok, fuck today. Seriously.
I wake up puking, I dont know why. Didnt drink or anything yesterday (only time i puke) but man, I threw up half my stomach this morning.
Anyway, i go to work.
We had to ship a bunch of products today (like I had to make em then have them shipped). All the material was supposed to be cut and punched (drilled) yesterday. I get into work and what do I find? Half the fuckin material isnt cut and the material that is cut either is drilled wrong or is the wrong size.
So, Ive had the customers breaking my fuckin nuts ALL day. And no one else can help me make what it is i needed to, im the only guy in the shop who knows how to make the certain frames (frames for a concrete laying/pouring machine, like I build the frame and all the motor mount points and all that, then we ship it to the company and they put all the accessories on - control boxes, wiring etc).
So, I continue trying to work with what i have.
Anyway, Im welding this frame up right. Im not wearing any safety gloves as the piece i was putting on is way to tricky to handle with gloves on. So, Im holding it, about to tac it (tacing is just a small weld that holds the piece in place and prevents it from bending/moving/curving etc) and this FUCKIN IDIOT hits my arm (the one I weld with, Im right handed). I end up burning right through the piece of steel and the slag that drips of when your burn steel falls right on the back of my fuckin hand.
I have a HUGE fuckin hole in the back of my hand now....burnt skin and nerves. 
Went to the hospital and they said I didnt do any nerve damage or anything, just a severe burn.
ANyway, yeah, i felt like bitching about it. Fuckin ppl dont know how to work and I get hurt because of it...and its not like I can go on compensation, Im the supervisior/plant manager, so I HAVE TO go to work.
I think someone's gettin fired tomorrow....fuckin idiot asshole...

Im ok, hand is wrapped up and fuck, im typing so its fine right?
It just tops off a bad day you know?
I always burn myself, my arms and shit. I dont weld with safety gear on. Only one glove on my guide hand and my mask right. So all the little sparks hit my arms and hands...but they dont really burn and if they do, its so hot it doesnt hurt for more than a second.
But fuck, imagine melted/melting steel falling on your hand...thats what happened....I dont think Ive cursed as much in one breathe than i did today. Every word I know, i screamed  |

Then put your gear on! this 1 more minute can save you days of recovering and pain!
My father is a consturction managers and he's doing the dirty job too but he learned that every time he welds stuff he needs to put the gear on, you know they didn't made it for decoration.
It's like seatbelts - this 5 secons of fastening your seatbelts can save your life.

Equipment sucks and rarely use it...you dont really need it...ive never burned myself like i did today. Ive been welding since i was 15 or so, I know what im doing.
@Sin - naw, then id lose my job dude. and prolly get sued and shit. I dont have that kinda money
