I'm using a Siemens/Efficient Speedstream 2604 router. Well, I was using it anyway until it started giving me insane pings and started chopping my 10mbps connection so hard that I only got 8.6kbps in speed tests (average is around 7mbps). Naturally I try resetting the router, and instead of rebooting it just starts shining all its LEDs and not responding completely. Tried the restart button - no dice.
Would anyone care to suggest what I could do? My comp is w/o internet right now, only the other pc in the house has i-net, which blows, frankly. I'm not certain I can afford $100 on a fresh router. Suggestions are welcome.

i know it sounds stupid, but have you pulled the power plug on the router? This is usually better than any reset switch, we do it all the time at work on our 3Com switches because resetting them doesn't work at all.
