Two weeks? They kept nine (!) divisions at bay (destroyed 3) between November 30th 1939 - March 13th 1940. The soviets outmanned the fins 4 to 1, and had better equipment and supply lines.
My grandfather participated in the battle of Suomussalmi, where the soviets attacked with two divisions (around 50000 soldiers), including one tank brigade. The fins had only 11,000 poorly supplied scattered infantry-men. Due to their invention (the Molotov coctail), they managed to take out the tanks, and in the end killed well over 20,000 of the soviets, while losing around 400 men.
Finland has always had a strong and reliable army, and a fierce fighting tradition.
I'm proud to have heritage from over there.
Sweden on the other hand have been mostly cowardly in those terms.
