Hello,

I am very willing to learn how you can create your own emulators and what tools you use to defeat the protection. Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks in advance.

Creating emulators such as daemon-tools, SFcure etc?
If that's the case, then you'll have a lot of reading to do Smile

Emulators are very complex software and you'll not only need a very good knowledge of how to create software, but also allot about how protections and hardware work.

Yes that is the case. I am willing to do anything to learn, but I don't know where to begin. It would be very nice if someone could give me some tutorials on how to do this all.

Learn C++ (or any other complex lang.) in 2-4 years, then, learn about the copy-protections, and then start making the software Smile

It can take less or more time.. depends how fast you learn..

I hate you.

To make a good emulator you need good experiance in computer languages, which at times is very technical and frustrating. I dont think there is a set place to begin but just with making the basic of applications like "hello world" and a "calculator" is a good start. From there you will go on making more technical applications but it is a lengthy process, not something that you will develop over night or even within a year.

To learn about copy protections you wont really find anything usefull on the internet as it is classified on a need to know basis, im sure starforce dont want to give their secrets away.

A simple way would be to learn cracking, and that would help you understand the fundamentals that go along with the copy protections. Try reading tutorials on "SoftICE" (maybe an old programme - I havnt really done much computer stuff for a while tho!)

You probably wont really get any sensible answers from this post as people seem to believe that age or experiance is important to your question. As long as your keen and willing to learn go for it...

Im closing this thread due to flaming (if anyone has a sensible answer PM or let a mod know to unlock this post!), give everyone a chance guys! Very Happy

Just to add to what Userfriendly has already said (and yes I do agree the thread should be locked as it has run on long enough without any useful replies..)..

SoftIce is a great place to start, most cracking is based around memory pointer's and the manipulation of these pointers to skip forward in code.. learning how to read running code, see how code skips around in memory, learning about buffer overflow events and these sorts of coding issues is what allows people to crack/emulate copy protections.. which is what I assume your asking..

As far as age and exprience is concerned, its never too young, I started with computers at 6, was coding at 8/10 and had surpassed my older brother (who at the time worked for HP) by 16.. dont let people kick you down based on your age, cause it has nothing to do with what you know..

good luck.
