I didn't think this would be any good so I skipped it, but I just had to give it a go after hearing more about it, and I'm glad I did because this game is damn good.
It's very hard at the beginning but when you start to get the hang of it, it's awesome.
Slalom is by far the hardest, not to get down, but to get a really good time. You need to know how to properly run slalom, and if you dont, you're screwed. And that's what's so great about this game, it really feels like a simulator. If you dont do it properly, you can kiss those good times goodbye, or if you like, pay a visit to the fences on the side.
It's a game that demands a analog gamepad btw, I cant imagen playing this with a digital keyboard (or a mouse if that works), it must be incredible bad.
This is by far the best skiing game ever on any platform, which isn't saying much though since the competition isn't the best, but still, this game is awesome in every possible way, and by far the most realistic skiing game on any platform.
It's also the best game I have played on the pc this year, so GOTY on the pc for me. 
It works flawless for me btw.

Are you sure? Cuz in 3D gamers they consider it´s the same game... Look at release dates and name. And also, if you search for ALPINE SKIING 2006 the only game that appears is Ski Alpin 2006.
