wtf... looking for some quake 4 screens I thought I whas looking at doom3 screens

it's because there hasn't been any inovations in years. only thing getting "better" is the gfx.

thats why i dont play pc games in singlep player anymore, the only fun you can get outta pc games nowadays is through online play.
i think i m gonna play fear as the demo was really fun, but when it comes to doom 3m quake 4,
aoe 3, its all reheated shit over and over, you can only find originality in console games nowadays.

quake 4 = doom 3 engine. THAT's why it looks the same. I dont see how you can say every game looks the same but there are a lot of similarities.

Half-Life was on a Quake-engine, those who found any (beyond the obvious) similarities are nonexistant.

Well only the basics, Valve made it special and non comparable with the original engine.

The point here is, an engine doesn't have to lead to identical games.
