Btw. we got this game with even the Kings-edtion moths ago in germany. cracked.

I was actually impressed with this game! The graphics were very good. The amount of detail and items you could builds showed great promise. The only reason I didn't keep playing it is there is no skirmish mode against AI. My son and I wanted to play this game in COOP against the computer but couldn't because it is only MP p vs p. What a drag and disappointment! Every RTS should have the COOP Skirmish mode. I played BFME that way last night and had a great time! To bad they didn't release this mode in these expansion packs.

This expansion only adds new maps? How shit.

what the shit are you talking about? It didn't destroy anything. If Blue Byte kept going with the same old Settlers formula the series would have destroyed itself. HoK is an awesome evolution of The Settlers series. Besides, if you like "old school" Settlers, there's at LEAST 4 games you can play which are all practically identical. This is something new and refreshing, and I for one am glad for the change. |
Are you kidding me? Have you actually played the first four of the games? The difference between Settlers II and Settlers III is at least as much as the difference between Dune 2 and C&C Generals
Settlers V took everything that had anything to do with what made The Settlers "The Settlers" and threw it away, it has NOTHING in common with The Settlers, so why does it have the same name?
This is exactly the same as companies taking over names from old wellknown companies, while having nothing incommon with those *cough* Infogrames *cough*. They're only doing this to make a new game, in disguise of an old successfull game, to make more people buy the game
If they had called the game something different, I wouldn't have hated this game as much as I do

Yah they called it Heritage of Kings and not Settlers 5.
Jeesus, they still have building interdependancy, the main staple of Settlers, and they made the game more real-time instead of an economy simulator. It's called CHANGE, stop being a dork and adjust to it. And like I said before, you have 4 other settlers games to play, if you don't like HoK, why bother bitching about it here, where maybe some people who liked the game can talk about this xpack (as lame as it is)

But it is called Settlers, they're selling the game on name recognition. I'm not saying that the game is bad or good, I'm just tired of the fact that they made a completely new game, but sell it as if it's a sequel, which it is not
If they didn't call it Settlers I wouldn't be here bitching, hell, maybe I would actually post something positive about the game
