does the game have anything with W40k:DOW?
or its whole new with new races?

I guess this is based on the original warhammer, like "shadow of the horned rat" and "blood omen"

THere are two distinct games in the warhammer universe. Warhammer: 40,000 and Warhammer Fantasy. This is based on Fantasy. They're quite fun if you get into them. I only play 40k, its enough models to paint for me.

Swedish PC Gamer had a big article about this game and as upstart_69 said they aim to become a fantasy Rome TW. Which is spanking news

its unlikely that is an unedited screenshot from the game. Its probably cut scene. People need to stop being impressed by stuff like that or they'll keep marketing games like that.

dude, its a game coming out in later 2006, almost a year from now, so of course its in game. i am sure its a techdemo or whatever and not even playable. and its not really marketing anything. but its not really that far fetched if you think about it with the way games look now and the way hardware is evolving in leaps and bounds. if you want to be overly critical and think games are gonna look like wc3 for yrs, be my guest. i am just getting looking foward things to come, K?
and btw that company black hole games is made up of about a dozen of the high ranking ex-blizzard guys(left because blizzard was becoming too big for its britches). i am not sure if they are working on this game or not, but whatever the case i am sure we will see great things from this little company.

yeah that article is exactly why i dont let the hype of games like FEAR or basically anything made for the 'next gen' consoles get to me. 99.9% of it is BS. the only games i look foward to are made by little known devs, mostly in russia and others untouched by the sense of 'if we advertise the hell out of it, it will sell like hotcakes, no matter if its got the same gameplay from 1998.'

Did I say the game would look like wc3? no I said the screen was probably edited or cutscene. I've yet to see any major games that DON'T lead the way with edited screens to bring in the biggest crowd.
Just because the game is out in 2006 is no guarentee of graphical quality. There have been plenty of games released this year that look like ass.
You have to remember its a RTS with many many units. If they want them to look that good you'd need a super computer to run it. Thats why most of the RTS that have massive unit counts have worse graphics than the ones with low.
