Ok, this is a weird issue and I don't really get it.
I have prince of persia: the two thrones mounted with DT4.
I have my IDE cd burner connected and running.
When I fire up the game, it works flawlessly. I mean, I never ran SFnuke, Starfucker, nothing at all.
Every couple of time it restarts when in the "checking cd" phase (it happens once in four time or so).
The only thing that is "strange" about my system that may (or may not, I don't know how SF works) is that my CD IDE is the master IDE connector, while my HD is actually using the slave IDE connector (I'm talking about the connector on the motherbored, the CD and HD use different IDE cables of course).
I am intrigued by this (although I'm defintly NOT complaining), I was just wondering if someone can try and explain why am I so lucky?
Thanks!

hmm I have the same issue and as far as i know, it's a matter of chipset (?)
I'm using motherboard with Nforce2 ultra400 and it works with no shitty SFcure etc...

So it's just pure luck that I have that specific nForce chipset?
Does anyone knows if it means all starforce games might work the same way?

for me, everything except SCCT work just fine, just with DT4 emulation turned on...
btw, isn't it quite funny that a CD-protection will work if you've a proper chipset on your motherboard...

Well, to the best of my knowlegde ALL nForce 3 or 4 based boards work ONLY if you have updated the IDE/ATA to a nVidia Parrallel Controller. Basically, you have you install the board drivers, then update the controller by pointing it to the driver folder. When that has been installed, then you can try disabling the parallel controller, and you SF games should work fine.
Of course, this works best with SATA HDDs, because with IDE HDDs, you will disable you HDDs too.
