Best games ever made? I"d be hesitant to say something like that. For one thing the series recycles far too much between titles, secondly there is not enough un-gimmicky innovation in regards to actual new features. Thing that brought Snake Eater crashing back down to earth was the fact that the control scheme, character dynamism in relation to the enviroment and the camera restrictions. These, and other aspects, helped to make what should have been an enjoyable and fun experience rather tedious and fustrating at times.
Can't wait for MGS4 though. I like the aspect regarding age a lot. I hope he really is that old and that there isn't a youth potion laying around 
BTW did anyone else find the first person view perspective part of the trailor to be the best? I did. But hopefully Killzone will satisfy my desire in that regard. If that's PS3 graphics than the killzone video looks doable.

Hope we are going to see another trailer soon. Becouse we still have to see the new Raiden and Meryl.
I'm sure MGS4 puts a good end to the series... hey, afterall, it's Hideo!
In fact, I think that in this one, Solid Snake will die. We saw something at the trailer already, when Snake had to take his medicine. I guess that FOXDIE is killing him slowly... anyway, that's going to be veeery interesting. Argh, I just love this game so much.
And thank god that it's going to be out in 2007. By then, I most ptobably have my own PS3 already.

cannot wait but gonna reserve my rights to the so called super *ingame graphics* untill i see someone on the end of the controller playing it for real in realtime, And if not released till 2007 then that might be a European launch title then, lol because i doubt we will see one on European shores in 2006

Ingame , you people are crazy , that's just a tech demo or an intro movie before the game begins . Just the same for al those other games killzone , that rally game , ...
Impossible that this is ingame , no way . Maybe in 10 years on Playstation 4
And why giving snake this age , and a Moustash , ha . Why not a beard .
So it will be the last Snake that we will see in the MGS series , because he will die from a Heart disorder .

it is ingame its allready confirmed by hideo himself! its even written in the video ,its absolutley true, hideo never lied.and if you dont belive it now you will see that its true!

Not the same as those other games, they were prerendered CGI that had nothing to do with the PS3. MGS4 on the other hand looks like real time rendering on real hardware, remember the MGS2 video

That is just silly. If that is in fact what the game will look like then next gen consoles will offer alot it seems
I'm not expecting this to be true just cause it looks too good. I'd rather be happily surprised to find out im wrong than to be expecting perfection and be let down.

I never liked any of the snake series, I just can't get past the camera angle. I hope that they will change this...because this game looks sick

True, but I don't think I could stomach playing Snake Eater again. It's not bad but it won't be 'fresh' enough for me as I was a latecomer to the game.
When you see it in that view you wonder why it wasn't like that from the beginning really.

It looks awesome! But the intro for MGS 2 did that as wll, for its time. And the intro for MGS2 was realtime as well..
I do beleive that this game will be awesome and I do beleive that this is realtime. But it is a scripted movie/intro, realtime or not.. This is not gameplay! When we se that; then we can comment the graphics. Its a huge difference watching the MGS2 intro and actually playing the game... Too much hype these days

MGS is my favorite series this looks awesome. But why did they have to make him an old man!? Ah well, I won't complain, whenever theres doubts about a new MGS title they seem to pull it off greatly and surprise everyone.

I dont agree on that at all.
Since kojima is most likley going with the new 3d camera in mgs4, I think this trailer shows very much how it will look while playing. The other games looked different (they weren't different, but looked different) in gameplay compared to the intro and cutscenes because the play camera was up in the air and the intro/cutscene camera were not, this will not be the case here (I dont see why he wouldn't use the 3d camera since mgs3s will have it).
