How can something you download fix dead pixels? Surely thats a hardware defect?
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Well apparently you can force the dead pixel to "awake" by flashing colors on the screen itself...

well on the black screen, one shows up red and one green...
Is it safe to leave a video like that running? can it not damage anything else?

Theres dead pixels and stuck pixels, you have stuck pixels.
Dead pixels dont light up at all, and never will, stuck pixels are just stuck on as a certain color...repeated use can unstick these pixels and make them work again. Apparently as the display tells the pixel to change after a long period of time it finally decides to listen, and unsticks itself. I have 3 stuck pixels, and I have been using my PSP for a good 4 months now, and they are all still there.
I've run that pixel unsticker program many times for 4+ hours when I first got the machine. I could see it increasing the chances of unsticking a pixel because its flashing the entire screen with every color, but it certainly hasnt helped me.
I've heard stories of these pixels unsticking after a single run of that program, but I wouldnt bet on that happening.
