@SycoShaman you can never get to much informatinon+wikipedia is so fucking big it's like they hold the entire information since the earth was populated with humans :O
I don't get it, how can they list so MUCH info?
I mean they LIST just about E V R Y T H I N G :O |
Actually, I can answer that for u cuz in last month's readers digest there was an article about Wiki. Ur right, it is the biggest knowledge/reference source available today and is 2.5 times bigger (i think) than Britannia. How do they do it? Well, from what RD said, anyone can contribute to Wiki...like say u go on there looking for a definition of goth - and there's is either incorrect or doesnt have an alternative definition that u assume or know to be true, what u do is write in ur definition supported by reasons as to why or how u concluded what u did. Then someone is supposed to check it and if its plausible, they include it
But they also make that note in the RD article that while Wiki is the biggest knowledge base, it also prolly has the most errors and stuff as its not formed the same way other recognized encyclopedia's are like brtiannia and shit. I mean, they can only check so many definitions and shit, and they are bound to make mistakes as its human error. Its not like they get a year or two like britannia does and such.

Damn tx for all that info about Wiki @SycoShaman
Yeah errors+typos is probably common since it's so *beep* huge :O
Then again it's free, isn't that word rare to find nowdays through out websites?
Readers Digest, I gotta admitt im not a customer but whenever I pick one up I can't stop reading it's like that tv channel "discovery" I can't switch channel when I started to seeing one of their programs. Then again I've always been interested in history (war etc) but it's always nice to get HQ information for free, well almost.
Is it just me or does people today find history/information plainly boring??!?
Sorry for typo's it's L A T E

I think the younger gen does fiind history boring. I personally love history and was like one of the only classes i attended in highschool...mind u, i only made it 3 months into grade 9 before I was expelled by hey, i home schooled myself and Ive always like history
lol I have a subscription to Reader's Digest....awesome magazine. They need to make it bigger tho, usually I'll read it from front to back in like an hour or so.
