I hope they make the game a bit faster (gameplay wise) then X2, as well as making combat...not suck...

turn off dynamic shadows, no lag Wink

Im waiting for this one like hell, BUT... If its as dead as X2, then i wont bother long. I really liked X2, but i couldnt stand the empty world, non-living. Even with the AI patch.
I mean, look at Freelancer, its a way way more simple game, but its world is way way more complex, its ALIVE, there are merchants and patrols and tradeships with escorts and shit flying around, there are pirate groups, there are huge asteroid/debri/gas/ice fields, really huge, every sector is BIG. Not to mention that you can fly into or around the sun, around planets, everything. THATS a solar system, not a square predefined cut-out section.
X2 was so tiny, i think the fact that there was no clipping distance in X2 actually contributed, when you can see that everything a sector has to offer is 5 stations and 4 gates, it grows boring, it should be like in Freelancer, where stuff is drawn up as you get there, AND generated (as the encounters and asteroids and shit, thats why they are possible to be that huge fields)

X3, nice graphics, maby last a while.
X3 with Freelancer style alive world, the new Elite, no doubt, no question about it, never stopping to play it.
