|

Well, I've had my 957mb Samsung 19' monitor for about 3 years now, and the amount it's used, I figured the display quality was beginning to degrade. The clock I have on my desktop was looking rather fuzzy, and so was most of the text unless there was a large contrast in colour. I then realized I had installed the new Nvidia 80.xx drivers that were leaked for my 6600GTOC. I uninstalled the drivers, used a driver cleaner and then installed the new leaked 77.40 drivers that are WHQL signed. Wow! The difference in overall quality is outstanding. I just thought I'd share the story with you all in case you ever think your monitor is beginning to degrade. Check your drivers!

Check your driver control pannel silly. There should be an option to change the sharpness of the screen, thats where the 'fuzzyness' comes from. I think its a feature in the new nvidia drivers, saw a friend with nvidia card playing around with it.

Yea, I knew about sharpness, however, for most things it added an irritating white grain around the edges much like the sharpen filter does in photoshop when over used.
