I have a run of the mill Logitech wireless desktop and the mouse feels a tad heavy and unresponsive compared to my friends mouse
I was looking at the MX1000, just wondering if anyone had used it or could reccomend any others?
cheers

I got one too. Best mouse I ever used. It is larger and heavier than an average mouse, so if you have small hands it could be weird at first. Everything else about the mouse is perfect; ergonomic design, battery life, precision and the drivers which let you map buttons to anything you want. The only thing i would like to be able to do with the mouse is to be able to create multiple profiles for different games, that could be loaded quickly before each specific game.

awesome mouse for gaming. i know some ppl seem to not like it because of its weight, which i guess is bad for the CS twitch gamers out there. but you get used to the weight esp because its so responsive. and dont believe anyone who tells you this mouse lags just because its wireless. as long as the reciever is somewhere nearby and you got the latest drivers, no lag whatsoever. also there are tweaks out there(google logigamer and ubermx1000) to allow you to assign all buttons-10 of em! to any function. ie. you can now use your tilt wheel to look around corners.
anyways if this sounds like what your lookin for, get it-you wont be dissapointed.

best gaming mouse would be the mx518... not sure why someone said heavier would be worse for twitch games like CS, I used to play with a bunch of cal-m guys (not at the top, but better than 99% of the people who play the game) and most of them used the mx510 (the 518 is the same weight and size (has the same button layout too) as the 510...)
I'm not sure about wireless, people tried them and didn't like them as much as the wired ones... but I haven't had any personal experience so who knows...
tried a razr once and it was shitty.
