Game looks good TBH but requirements are high?
The game is nice. The adventure style fits the setting and atmosphere pretty well. However, the souls-like combat is a bit of a miss for. Not because the combat is bad, but because it seems out of place in the setting. This game would have worked better as a 3rd person shooter.
Everyone has to have soulsformula in some fashion. Issue is that there is usually no creativity and it's just shite to be honest, especially if you compare it to dark souls or elden ring. Even Khazan and lies of P is bad if you compared them to ER and DS. Claire obscure is the best form. Very creative and cool use of the soulsLike system.
Dark Souls was a trend setter. But we start to take it a bit far considering how much of From Software's work is copy pasta. Even Dark Souls has bosses copied from Demon's Souls.
Well it was their second game of this type so it was expected they'd simply try improving the formula. It probably changed name due to licensing anyway. They struck gold and they knew it.
Rogue Factor’s previous games are Mordheim: City of the Damned in 2015/2016 and Necromunda: Underhive Wars in 2020 so I guess they’ve been working on Hell Is Us for about 5 years.
Played the demo for a bit.
Pretty good and probably getting this one.
It’s like a soulslike with puzzles or more puzzles anyway.
I stopped playing though because I’ll literally have to replay it again when the game releases next month since progress doesn’t carry over apparently.
Impressive amount of gameplay for a demo though
