The FTC announced Thursday that it would sue to block Microsoft’s acquisition of gaming giant Activision Blizzard. Microsoft announced plans to buy the company, which has been plagued by sexual harassment and discrimination allegations and labor disputes, back in January for $68.7 billion.
The moment microsoft has enough power it will be ms store uwp bullshit only.
Netflix among others has a pass and it produces mostly homogeneous quantity over quality shit.
At the end, massive consolidation will only hurt the end user.
If this acquisition falls through it's not us consumers that win, it's Sony and similar interests that win

Microsoft showed everyone how they are in the past 20 years, like forbid crossplay or exclusive games, they are not better then sony in any way.
They just bought Bethesda and made the upcoming games exclusive for xbox consoles (and pc), every playstation player will not be able to play those games, just because Microsoft bought a big company and made the games exclusive. HOW THE FUCK IS THAT GOOD FOR THE PLAYERS?
Atleast Sony bought smaller Studios and made good content from them over many many years. Sony made them big. Why is Microsoft not doing this with their Studios? Why are they just buying Stuff to destroy the Market?
Gamepass will Fail in the long run, just like Netflix.
As PC gamers, I think, we are in favor of Microsoft and their plan to have exclusives. Mainly because they will be available not only on xbox but on PC as well.
How many years, remasters and remakes should we have before we can finally play all those PS exclusives on PC? Only recently Sony started to release exclusive titles on PC.
MS buys them, games will go to shit. Activision stays activision, games will continue to be shit.
So is this a situation of people arguing which bread they want the shit sandwich made of, rye or wheat, and focusing on how bad each type of bread tates to them?

I'm following the SC2 community very close since eons ago. They are desperate to see the deal come into fruition, because (the shadow of what) Blizzard (was) will not do it. ActiBlizz are letting SC2 die and they will not do SC3. But with micro$oft sweet, sweet moneyz they can have a new game, new tourneys and new RTS glorious times. The community is awesome. And I'm all for glorious micro & macro gaming times
It is kind of funny how Sony has found its way around this by just making so many games exclusive but not actually buying the companies. It will be interesting to see all the new Sony exclusives from Konami and other companies announced at the upcoming Sony events and them still trying to act like they are in last place in the console wars and how possibly losing Call of Duty in 10 years is a death nail for them.
