I absolutely disagree with her opinion and her comparison of Republicans being the new Jews, and I think everyone does, but it's her opinion.

Actors are the worst people to try to lecture others, they're the most privileged people that exists, people who's been living in a bubble for much of their life, sometimes their entire life. They are absolutely clueless. In general.

Luckily i don't work so there's no one they can call to cancel me i also don't have much they can ruin, and there are people who's tried because i'm as vocal here as i am on platforms where i'm not anonymous. I think what Ricky Gervais meant is that the opinion of an actor, is just that, the opinion of a person. And you shouldn't place them on a pedestal just because they played in a movie you like. Actors, or musicians, don't know more about politics than any other fool (probably even less, in case they are millionaires living in their sheltered bubbles).
But everyone should be able to express their opinion, even if it's in bad taste or whatever.

I find the irony of this situation off the charts, totally unwarranted and only proving her position. The scary part is it could be anyone, i personally withdraw from any discussion on social or political opinion (for years now) because 9/10 outcomes are negative. I bet many or most feel the same way which shows how broken our society is.
