Honestly? Because all the negative shit and all the personal attack-debates got really tired, and I didn't really have the discipline to stay out of it back then.
Why are you back, again?
I got a real bad case of nostalgia, and hoped to run into some of the old guys. (Not you)
What have you been up to?
How to summarize all these years? In short:
* Celebrated 20 years with my S.O.
* Broke my leg in two parts
* Suffered a myocardial infarction (I'm alive tho)
* Switched job and lifestyle (worked at a really stressful place (school)
* Lost about 60 pounds of weight
* Went to the gym 4-5 times a week before the Corona-nonsense
* Got really into Escape From Tarkov... it's pretty much the only game I play next to MTGO
* Been traveling/driving around north Europe a lot
So, do you live in NZ yet?
Why did you have to ask? No I didn't. It sucks. I wanted to relocate and work as a teacher there. They need teachers, but boy oh boy does it suck working as a teacher there compared to here. I love that country, will still go there on vacation. But I'm not sure how to find a job there as a long-time teacher (~15 years experience). And moving there short-term doesn't appeal to me.
How are you doing these days?
Thanks for asking, since changing my lifestyle compared to when I had my peak activity on this forum - I'm a lot better. The arrogant superior cynical anti-social attiude is still a part of me, albeit less pronounced. I'm capable of being pretty chill also - just have a strong allergy to dumb people.
That's enough for now.
