I think the racism card has become mostly bullshit nowadays. Even candies are being accused of racism. What's interesting: people mostly won't complain about racism if the word refers to rich Western people or countries.
For instance: we still have traditional cookies called 'Jew biscuits' (Jodenkoeken)... because they're too thin. People don't feel sorry for Israel and Jewish people I guess, so no one's making a fuss.

The holocaust took place over 65 years ago, there's been genocides after that (rwanda, darfur, the japanese slaughter and experiments on the chinese etc. etc. etc.) but we don't give a shit about those for some reason. I think we're getting tired of having something that happened before most of us were born repeatedly told as if it happened yesterday. Yes, it's good not to forget, but as I said, there are other genocides that we don't care about, making it somewhat hypocritical.

I think Israel would lose much support in the Western world if we wouldn't constantly be reminded of how the Jewish people have suffered. See Norman Finkelstein for a thorough explanation of this view
